VALENTINES DAY HEART BEAT PROGRAM
Evelyn Thomas, and Rick Astley:
Touching off our Valentines Day program is an electrifying Megamix of Evelyn Thomas' classic, "High Energy". "Energy", one of the all time great cross-over club records, was originally released in the U.K. in 1982 on Record Shack Records. It comes as no surprise that this Ian Levine and Fiachra Trench production stands the test of time and sounds just as fresh and hot today. Scott Blackwell, one of New Yorks most respected DJ-mixers-editors etc., and Martin' Andruet, have created a Megamix with production surprises that will send a shockwave to your floor. Special thanks to: Jeff Weston at Record Shack Records U.K., and Ian Levine for their assistance and cooperation. Next is Rick Astley's "My Arms Keep Missing You", his third international single on RCA Records. It seems as though Rick is never gonna give up turning out instant hits. Perhaps this is just the tune to serenade that lost love with on Valentines Day.

Gladys Knight & The Pips, and Jody Watley:
Gladys Knight and The Pips have been turning out the hits for more than two decades. Their latest number one single "Love Overboard", starts off Disconet's Side B. This R&B pop dance tune is from the album "All Our Love" on MCA Records. Ace New York DJ Henry Winslow, one of our favorite editors, went full-speed-ahead to create a special Disconet club mix featuring a hot new intro, exciting breaks, and a few surprises. Next is Jody Watley with her latest MCA Records 12", "Some Kind Of Lover". With the cross-over appeal of this and earlier singles, Jody is establishing herself as a pop artist. Mike Carroll is some kind of editor, has turned out a real dance floor pleaser.

Blue Mercedes, and Depeche Mode:
Time to trade in your pink Cadillac for a supercharged Blue Mercedes, available now from your MCA Dealer. The "I Want To Be Your Property" 12" was originally a hot import from England, and is now out domestically with additional remixes. Mike Carroll took the blade to the block, pumped out the edits, and created this Disconet version that will have Cyd Charisse rocking the House. Special thanks to: Bobby Shaw. Next, sitting "Behind The Wheel", is Depeche Mode. "Behind The Wheel" is the follow-up single to "Strange Love" from the Sire/Warner Bros. album, "Music For The Masses". Mixmaster Shep Pettibone has out done himself once again with the remix and transformation of this cut, turning it into what will surely be one of the major club records of 1988. Dennis Muyet took advantage of the different mixes to create a turbo charged edit, that will drive your floor into high gear.

Sharon Brown, Kelley Clark, & And Then:
Starting off Bonus Side Two is Disconets "Valentine's Day surprise", a remix of the classic "I Specialize In Love" by Sharon Brown on Profile Records. The mad, bad, and dangerous keyboard wiz Mark Styles, and Steven Von Blau have added additional production and updated the tracks to create this special Valentines Day version. From Indianapolis comes Kelley Clark, with her exciting new pop dance tune "Show Me", for George Vincent Productions. Collaborating with Kelley on "Show Me", were Johnny George (From the Indiana Record Pool & WZPL) co-producing and mixing, Bill Vincent doing the writing and co-producing, and Chris Rich engineering. This romantic up-tempo tune, should be an instant hit with the early morning crowd. Those wild guys from the Sunshine Crew (Mark Styles & Steven Von Blau) remixed the tracks to create a romantic club version.
